The Omega MAT is a cross-phase community of schools, providing a more holistic education from 4 to 19 years of age: a system that provides for the whole child for the whole 14 years.
The Trust is five schools, who converted on 1st January 2018. The Trust offers its founding partners a continued independence within the safeguard of a supportive and protective group of schools, needed in the current somewhat uncertain future. The Trust has delegated much to the Local Governing Bodies, but manages business and premises concerns more centrally, with the intention of empowering school leaders to focus on teaching and learning and the children’s wider development.
Each partner institution gains a continuity beyond current individual personalities, which ensures schools can retain their individual character and ethos to support parents and their children, regardless of educational or staffing change.
The Trust prides itself on being innovative and striving to embed the best, most successful practice, which is achieved through working collaboratively, for the best interests of our children.
Above all the Trust offers our academies an ability to manage change with like-minded people on our terms and at our pace.
The ethos is based on ten core values, identified the students across the Trust and re-visited regularly. These values provide a rationale for everything we do, a test against which we judge ourselves.
